November 17, 2014 Meeting Minutes

Board met at 7:40 PM.
Board Members in Attendance: President, Craig Kamholz; Vice-President, Jeff Ditzenberger; Secretary, Sue Rieder; Treasurer, Pam Burke; Judy Gill, Bonnie Gerner, and Julene Elmer.
Further thoughts on a proposal for a building on the fairgrounds were discussed. The Fair board is meeting November 18. Both trailers are at Davis Welding. Scholarships and money distributions discussed. A need for year around publicity discussed.
The regular meeting of the Green County Ag Chest was called to order by President Kamholz at 8:10 PM.
Opening prayer by Cheyanne Becherer – Brodhead Dairy Queen.
Secretary’s report: Printed copies of the October 27, 2014 meeting minutes were made available by Sue Rieder. Agenda and minutes can also be found on the website. A motion to approve the minutes as presented was made by Judy Gill and seconded by Sue Hellenbrand. Motion carried
Treasurer’s Report: Pam Burke presented printed copies of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Sheet for October 27 through November 17. Printed copies of the November 17 balance sheet were presented. Also printed copies Income and Expense information for Cheese Days, Breakfast on the Farm, Boone County Fair, Roscoe Fall Festival and Green County Fair were presented. A motion to approve the treasurer’s reports was made by Judy Gill and seconded by Sue Hellenbrand. Motion carried.
Queens present were Haley Reeson-Green County Dairy Princess; Kyleah McKnight-Belleville Dairy Queen; Ashley Shilling-Blanchardville Dairy Queen; Cheyanne Becherer-Brodhead Dairy Queen and Kallista Baebler-Monticello Dairy Queen.
A Past Dairy Queen introduced herself (Pam Burke).
County Queens’ Chairperson Report was given by Pam Burke. The Queens participated in a Murder Mystery Dinner yesterday.
Pam Burke reported Milk Marketing Board gave $500 to the Green County Ag Chest.
Pam Burke also reported about 30 checks were distributed for Wisconsin State Fair participants. Only 3 thank you notes have been received.
No old business motions were brought before the board.
Announcements and discussions:
Albany will host 2015 Dairy Days. Cattle show tentatively scheduled for June 14.
Sue Hellenbrand made a motion nominate to Jeff Ditzenberger for Vice-President, Pam Burke for treasurer and Bonnie Gerner for Board member. Kathy Baebler seconded the motion. Motion carried. President Craig Kamholz called for nominations from the floor; seeing none, Sue Hellenbrand made a motion to close the nominations and cast an unanimous ballot for Jeff Ditzenberger for Vice-President, Pam Burke for treasurer and Bonnie Gerner for Board member. Kathy Baebler seconded the motion. Motion carried.
No new business motions were brought before the board.
Other items brought forth by the members:
Board Members discussed how to get Pam Burke more help with the Queens Program.
January 12 2015 will be Budget Meeting at Bonnier Gerner’s place. Snow Date is January 19. January 26 will the regular board meeting.

A motion to adjourn was made Judy Gill and seconded by Bonnie Gerner. Motion carried.
