September 29, 2014 Meeting Minutes

Place: Green county Justice Center, Monroe, WI 53566
Board met at 7:30 PM.
Board Members in Attendance: President, Craig Kamholz; Vice-President, Jeff Ditzenberger; Secretary, Sue Rieder; Treasurer, Pam Burke; Judy Gill, Bonnie Gerner, and Julene Elmer. Albany plans to host the 2015 Green County Dairy Days. Cattle Show tentatively planned for June 13 with the crowning events scheduled for a week later.
The regular meeting of the Green County Ag Chest was called to order by President Kamholz at 8:07 PM.
Opening prayer was given by Ashley Shilling-Blanchardville Dairy Queen.
Secretary’s report: Printed copies of the August 18, 2014 meeting minutes were made available by Sue Rieder. Agenda and minutes can also be found on the website. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Judy Gill and seconded by Jeff Ditzenberger. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Pam Burke presented printed copies of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Sheet for August 25 through September 29.
Queens present were: Kelsey Cramer-Green County Dairy Queen; Haley Reeson-Green County Dairy Princess; Kyleah McKnight-Belleville Dairy Queen; Ashley Shilling-Blanchardville Dairy Queen; Crista Hale-Juda Dairy Queen; Emma Peterson-Monroe; and Kallista Baebler-Monticello Dairy Queen. The Dairy Queens thanked the Green County Ag Chest for their jackets.
Past Dairy Queens introduced themselves.
County Queens’ Chairperson Report was given by Pam Burke.
Craig Kamholz expressed appreciation to all the volunteers that helped with Roscoe Festival and Cheese Days.
A Photo album made by Kelsey Meyer from pictures of the 2014 Green County Breakfast on the Farm was passed around.
No old business motions were brought before the board.
Announcements and discussions:
David Kamholz along with Craig stated the Green County Ag Chest was asked by Tony Zgarren to consider doing a breakfast during the Swiss Singer Alliance in June. Breakfast would be the Truttman Farm in New Glarus from 9 AM – 9:30 AM and would involve feeding 700 people. Discussion followed. A motion to table a decision on the Breakfast until the next meeting was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Pam Burke. Motion carried.
No new business motions were brought before the board.
Other items brought forth by the members:
Kelsey Cramer-Green County Dairy Queen sang her song, “Green County Ag Chest was Ice Cream.”
Craig Kamholz recommended “let’s try to do something fun for the October meeting.”
Closing Prayer: “1-2-3, Clap on 3” given by Emma Peterson – Monroe Dairy Queen
A motion to adjourn was made Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Kelsey Cramer-Green County Dairy Queen. Motion carried.
