February 23 2015 Meeting Minutes

The Board met at 7:30 PM. Board Members in Attendance: President, Craig Kamholz; Vice-President, Jeff Ditzenberger; Secretary, Sue Rieder; Treasurer, Pam Burke; Julene Elmer, Judy Gill, Bonnie Gerner, and Sue Hellenbrand.
Discussion items: Scholarships and debit cards. The Farm Bureau Women’s Ag Summit is March 13 and 14. Ag Day at the Capitol is March 11. The Board will send Kelsey Cramer-Green County Dairy Queen and Haley Reeson-Green County Dairy Princess to both events.
A motion to replace a lost Green County Debit card was made by Julene Elmer and seconded by Pam Burke. Motion carried.
A motion to have 2 Breakfast on the Farm debit cards, one for Craig Kamholz and one for Judy Gill, was made by Julene Elmer and seconded by Jeff Ditzenberger. Motion carried.
A motion to send $50 for Marion Pinnow memorial to Zion Methodist Church was made by Bonnie Gerner and seconded by Jeff Ditzenberger. Motion carried.
The regular meeting of the Green County Ag Chest was called to order by President Kamholz at 8:10 PM.
The opening prayer was given by Haley Reeson-Green County Dairy Princess.
Secretary’s report: Sue Rieder presented printed copies of the November 2014 meeting minutes and January 2015 Budget Meeting minutes. A motion to approve both meeting minutes with corrections was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Emma Peterson-Monroe Dairy Queen. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Pam Burke presented printed copies of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Sheet from January 1 2015 through February 23 2015. A motion to approve the treasurer’s report was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Haley Reeson. Motion carried. Pam Burke presented printed copies of the 2015 Green County Ag Chest budget. A motion to approve the 2015 budget was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Sue Hellenbrand. Motion carried.
Queens present were Kelsey Cramer-Green County Dairy Queen, Haley Reeson-Green County Dairy Princess, Sayde McDermott-Albany Dairy Queen, Jenna Langmeier-Argyle Dairy Queen, Kyleah McKnight-Belleville Dairy Queen, Ashley Shilling-Blanchardville Dairy Queen, Cheyanna Becherer-Brodhead Dairy Queen, Liz Grady–Brooklyn Dairy Queen, Amanda McDermott-Browntown Dairy Queen, Crista hale-Juda Dairy Queen, Emma Peterson-Monroe Dairy Queen, Kallista Baebler-Monticello Dairy Queen and Rebecca Barr-New Glarus Dairy Queen.
Past Dairy Queens introduced themselves.
County Queens’ Chairperson Report was given by Pam Burke.
Upcoming Queens Activities: March 9-13 Milk in the Classroom presentations by Dairy Queens, March 17 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Monroe, and April 26 Angels Among Us. Queens Group picture planned for April 19.
Correspondences and Announcements: Sue Rieder read thank notes from scholarship recipients Taylor Behnke and Mariah Martin.
Craig Kamholz presented information on a separate checking account with 2 debit cards for Breakfast on the Farm. Parameters would be for food and supplies associated with the Breakfast. Cards would be turned into Pam Burke after the Breakfast. A motion to have a separate Breakfast on the Farm checking account with 2 debit cards was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded to by Ashley Shilling-Blanchardville Dairy Queen. Motion carried. A motion for Craig Kamholz and Judy Gill to have the debit cards was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Karen Buck. Motion carried.
Announcements and discussions: The Ag Chest scholarship winners article appeared in the February 25 Monroe Times.
The 2015 Breakfast on the Farm will be May 30 at the Wegmueller Farm on Montgomery Road. BOTF meeting will be March 23 at 7 PM at the farm.
Julene Elmer and Judy Gill reported the Dairy Day Cattle Show will be June 20 and the Dairy Queens Activities will be June 27.
Bonnie Gerner asked the current queens to help with the 2015 Boone County Fair. The current Queens sang a song, “The Wheels on the Ag Chest Trailer go Round and Round” to the tune of “The Wheels on the Bus go Round and Round.”
No new business motions were brought before the board.

A motion to adjourn was made Kelsey Cramer-Green County Dairy Queen and seconded by Nikki Cramer. Motion carried.
