May 2016 Meeting Minutes

Place: Green County Justice Center, 2841 6th St. Monroe, WI 53566
The Board met at 7:30 PM. Board members in attendance were President- Craig Kamholz, vice-President-Jeff Ditzenberger, Secretary- Sue Rieder, Treasurer-Pam Burke and Board members: Bonnie Gerner, Judy Gill and Sue Hellenbrand.
The regular meeting of the Green County Ag Chest was called to order by President Kamholz at 8:00 PM.
The opening prayer was given by Charlayna DeVoe—Juda Dairy Queen
Secretary’s Report: Sue Rieder presented printed copies of the April 25 meeting minutes. A motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes and to approve the minutes was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Karly Ready-Monticello Dairy Queen. Motion carried
Treasurer’s Report: Pam Burke presented printed copies of the treasurer’s report. A motion to approve the treasurer’s report was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and seconded by Karly Ready-Monticello Dairy Queen. Motion carried.
Past Queens introduced themselves.
Queens present were Natalie Gefke- Green County Dairy Princess, Brittany Janes- Albany, Hannah James-Argyle, Denise Rankin- Belleville, Sarah Rowley-Brodhead, Kajal Russell- Brooklyn, Molly Minder- Browntown, Charlayna DeVoe- Juda, Mia Wahl- Monroe, Karly Ready- Monticello, and Ashley Judd- New Glarus. The Community Queen candidates introduced themselves.
County Queens’ Chairperson Report was given by Pam Burke.
Correspondences and Announcements: Bonnie Gerner reminded the 2015-2016 Dairy Queens “don’t forget that this is a Cheese Days year and to volunteer to help in the trailers.”
No action taken.
Bonnie Gerner and Sue Hellenbrand presented Breakfast on the Farm updates. Monetary and hog donations have been good. Posters are available to be distributed around the area. Encourage the shuttle buses; there will be 10 buses running between Monroe, New Glarus, Argyle and Blanchardville. Judy Gill stressed the need for clean-up help.
Tammy Woller presented information on Dairy Day in Belleville, June 25.
A motion to give $250 to Karly Ready-Monticello Dairy Queen to help with expenses for the FFA National convention in October was made by Judy Gill and seconded by Jeff Ditzenberger. Motion carried.
A motion to adjourn was made by Jeff Ditzenberger and was seconded by Karly Ready-Monticello Dairy Queen. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM
