BUDGET MEETING Minutes
January 9, 2017

Board members in attendance: Pam Burke, Bonnie Gerner, Judy Gill, Craig Kamholz, Ken Rankin, Dean Reeson, and Sue Rieder
Others in attendance: Julene Elmer and Sue Hellenbrand
Craig Kamholz called the budget meeting to order at 6:40 PM
Announcements/Discussion: Meeting dates for 2017 and January 2018 were discussed. Proposed calendar will be available at the January Ag Chest Meeting for discussion. Discussed that an audit of the treasurer’s book should be done every 2 years; before the election of the treasurer.
Old Business: None brought forward.
New Business: Pam Burke presented printed copies of the past budgets and expenses.

Donations $ 4,500
Insurance $ 4,000
Dairy Days $ 2,000
Meetings $ 125
Office Expense $ 1,200
Promotions/Queens Program $ 9,000
Scholarships $ 5,000
Trailer Expense $16,000
State Fair $ 2,500
TOTAL 2017 BUDGET $104,325
Additional Discussion: Craig Kamholz will look into why insurance costs are up. There is money leftover in the Dairy Day account. The Ag Chest will clarify money to be paid to Wisconsin State Fair Livestock exhibitors. Storage rental should be a line item in the budget. Discussed donation from plat book sales. Sue Rieder and Heidi Kassebaum will make a Green County Ag Chest Facebook page.
Pam Burke reported $32,443.67 in the checking account, $16,169.58 in the BOTF account, $2,279 in the Jeglum account and $1,784.69 in the Dairy Days account.
A motion to adjourn was made by Judy Gill and seconded by Bonnie Gerner. Motion carried.
