March 2017 Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

The Board of Directors meeting of the Green County Ag Chest was called to order by President Craig Kamholz at 6:45 pm. Members present were Vice-President Bonnier Gerner; Secretary Sue Rieder; Directors Judy Gill, Ken Rankin, and Dean Reeson; and County Queen Chairperson Rae Reeson. Pam Burke was absent.
No Queens were in attendance
Secretary’s Report: Sue Rieder presented printed copies of the February 2017 meeting minutes. A motion to accept the February minutes was made by Dean Reeson and seconded Ken Rankin. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Printed copies of the January through March 2017 financial report were made available. A motion to accept the treasurer’s report was made by Ken Rankin and seconded by Judy Gill. Motion carried.
County Queen Chairperson’s report: Rae Reeson reported the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and bowling with the Queens went well. Candidates for 2017-2018 are being recruited. The Community Queen Chairpersons meeting is 9 AM April 8 at Fat Cat’s in New Glarus. Brea Henderickson is interested in being the Community Queen Chairperson for Belleville.
Correspondence/Announcements: Scholarship applications are due April 1. The Board of Directors will review the applications after the BOTF meeting April 8.
Craig Kamholz reported the trailer is not done yet.
Judy Gill reported the BOTF donation letters have been mailed out. Donations are already coming in. Hog donations are coming into Hoesly’s Meats. Maple Leaf Cheese Store plans to cube the cheese for the BOTF.
Sue Rieder asked if the Dairy Queens would be interested in doing the May window display at the Monticello Area Historical Museum. Theme could be Breakfast on the Farm, Past and Present. Rae Reeson will discuss with the Queens.
Dairy Days in Argyle discussed. The Queens Banquet is June 22 with Moo-tails starting at 6:30 PM, the Big Question at 7 PM and Dinner at 7:30 PM, The Dairy Day Parade will be June 24, line-up at 11:30 AM. Crowning will be after the parade, 1 PM at the Park. Duck Races at 2 PM, the Fish Fry that evening.
Tim Schultz has made a request for the ice cream trailer for June 10.
Cows on the Concourse is June 3.
The Board of Directors are to review the By- Laws by the next meeting.
A motion to adjourn was made by Judy Gill and was seconded by Dean Reeson. Motion carried.
