Green County Ag Chest

October 2017 Meeting Minutes


Date: Monday, October 30, 2017

Time: 7:00 PM

Place: Green County Justice Center, Monroe WI  53566


The Board of Directors met at 6:30 PM. Members present were Craig Kamholz-President, Bonnie Gerner-Vice President, Sue Rieder-Secretary, Pam Burke-Treasurer and board members, Judy Gill, Ken Rankin, and Dean Reeson. Members present discussed assurance of non-discrimination, BOTF coffee cakes and contacting Jayne Butts in regards to dates for 2018 Dairy Days.


The regular meeting of the Green County Ag Chest was called to order by President Craig Kamholz at 7:15 PM.


Opening Prayer was given by Lindsey Pence-Monticello Dairy Queen.


Secretary’s Report: Sue Rieder presented printed copies of the September Board of Directors meeting minutes. A consensual motion to accept the September meeting minutes was called for by President Craig Kamholz. Motion carried.


Treasurer’s Report: Pam Burke presented printed copies financial report from September 26 through October 30, 2017. A consensual motion to accept the September meeting minutes was called for by President Craig Kamholz. Motion carried.


Old Business:

            Correspondences/Announcements: Thank you notes were read by Secretary Sue Rieder.


            The trailers were discussed. It was recommended that there be a check list for both trailers in regards to food prep, clean-up, etc.


New Business:

            The 2018 Breakfast on the Farm will be May 26 at the Nancy Karlen Farm in Monticello. The Ag Chest has purchased Wayne Monte’s gooseneck trailer to be used for hauling the tables, the entertainment stage, etc. The BOTF committee plans to inventory items for the BOTF.

            Dean Reeson volunteered to gather the 2018 Dairy Day Cattle Show committee. Sue Rieder, Rae Reeson, and Donna and Lindsey Pence will work with the Monticello Community Club in regards to a committee for the Dairy Day Queens judging and banquet.

            Offices up for elections next month are President, Secretary and one board member. Dean Reeson will head the nominating committee.


Past Queens Introductions


Queens present were: Haley Mueller-Green County Dairy Queen, Paige Bittner-Green County Dairy Princess, Ainsley Krueger-Albany Dairy Queen, Bailey Rodenbaugh-Argyle Dairy Queen, Mikayla Brey-Belleville Dairy Queen, Skye Hoffman-Blanchardville Dairy Queen, Skylar Stanley-Brodhead Dairy Queen, Kaitlyn Fey-Browntown-Dairy Queen, Jaiden Walker-Juda Dairy Queen, Stephanie Kolden-Monroe Dairy Queen, and Lindsey Pence-Monticello Dairy Queen. Queens introduced themselves by giving their radio report or sharing a favorite recipe.


County Queen Chairperson’s Report: Rae Reeson reported the queens and their parents have been busy.


A motion to adjourn was made by Judy Gill and was seconded by Dean Reeson. Motion carried.


Meeting adjourned at 8:35 PM


Closing Prayer was given by Jaiden Walker –Juda Dairy Queen.
