Meeting Minutes


Date: Monday, September 24, 2018

Time: 6:30 PM

Place: Rieder Residence, N7149 County Road X, Albany, WI 53502


The Board of Directors  meeting of the Green County Ag Chest was called to order by President Craig Kamholz at 6:45 PM. Members present were Pam Burke-treasurer and Sue Rieder-secretary, Ken Rankin, Dean Reeson, and Diane Schlafi board members and Rae Reeson-Queen Chairperson. Bonnie Gerner-vice-president was absent.


Secretary’s Report: Sue Rieder presented printed copies of the August meeting minutes. A motion to accept the meeting minutes was made by Ken Rankin and seconded by Dean Reeson. Motion carried.


Treasurer’s Report:  Pam Burke presented printed copies of the financial report from August 28-September 24 2018. A motion to accept the financial report was made by Dean Reeson and seconded by Ken Rankin. Motion carried.


Old Business:

                Correspondences/Announcements: Two thank you notes received.

                It was reported the big trailer is put away.

                Food for America is tomorrow (Tuesday September 25)

                There were left over puffs after Cheese Days. Cheese Days sales were down this year.  FYI: In the past, about 84 cases have been purchased.  There are 60 puffs per case. 2 whipping cream cartons per bowl. One bowl fills about 20 puffs.

                It was reported, not all the bills are in for Roscoe Fall Festival.

                Rental price for storage of units i.e. trailers and people haulers discussed. The Ag Chest pays $330 per unit per year for storage. A motion was made to adjust the financial reports to reflect storage of the trailers and people haulers was made by Pam Burke and seconded by Ken Rankin. Motion carried.

                It was reported that Lisa Behnke and Renee Eichelkraut are willing to work together in making the BOTF photobook for the host family.

                No addition old business discussed.


County Queen Chairperson’s Report:

                Rae Reeson reported the Queens did a good job during Cheese Days. The Queens will be working Dairy Expo, helping with 4th grade tours.  The Queens promotional project for this year will be Yodelay Yogurt.  October 20 is the Bounty of Green County Dinner. This is a fund raiser for Alice in Dairyland. It will be at the Edelweiss Golf Course. Tickets will $75. November 3 is the Queens billboard picture taking session at the Minder Farm. The Minder Family picture will also be done at this time.


New Business:

                KK Tire will donate a gator to the Ag Chest for use during Cheese Days. Members also discussed sponsorship for the trailer. Also discussed were ice cream cones verses dishes.

                A motion to have the duty of  the Ag Chest Vice-President to include being in charge of scheduling the volunteers for all trailer events was made by Pam Burke and seconded by Dean Reeson. Motion carried.


Other Business: None


A motion to adjourn was made by Dean Reeson and was seconded Ken Rankin. Motion carried.
