Green County Ag Chest Board of Directors Meeting:
Called to order at 6:30 PM. Craig, Sue, Diane, Dean, Chris, Mia, and Pam were in attendance for the meeting.
Discussion about Dairy Days committee looking for and purchasing an enclosed trailer for the egg cooker up to $3500.00.
4 team members and 3 adult chaperones from the Green County Extension dairy judging team will be traveling to Scotland for the World Dairy Judging competition in June, they are seeking donations to help cover travel expenses. It was decided to give each person $500.00 to help out for a total of $3000.00
Dairy Day meeting dates and BOTF meeting dates were discussed.

Regular monthly Green County Ag Chest Meeting:
Called to order February 4, 2019 at 7:03 PM. This meeting was rescheduled from January 28, 2019 due to inclement weather.

2019 Budget was discussed:
expected income $70,000, expected expenses $53,100
Pam Lawver made a motion to approve the budget, Bobby Wunschel seconded. Motion carried.
The correspondence were passed around.
The calendar and dates were approved. We will not be attending Roscoe or Cows on the Concourse this year, but will continue to go to the flea market events.
Scholarships Applications are due April 1.
Group of students addressed the audience to request a possible donation to help with travel expenses to Scotland and Ireland in June 2019 for the World Dairy Judging Competition. The total expenses for the group will be about $30,000. Dean Reeson motioned to donate $500.00 to each of the 6 people going on the trip for a total $3000.00 donation. Motion seconded by Chris VanDyke. It was also offered to the group to sell bottled water and the extra plat books at the BOTF to generate more funds.
Breakfast On The Farm will be held Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at the Minder Family Farm east of Browntown. The next meeting is Saturday, March 9th @1130 AM in the parlor at the farm. Hawk’s Mill winery would like to do a participation at the breakfast.
Discussion about using the extra cream puff mix that was ordered. We have 10 (50 lb.) bags available to use.
A dairy queen promotion will take place at Farm and Fleet in Monroe in conjunction with JMB Rural Mutual Ins. The queens will serve cream puffs to farmers.
Alice candidates will tour Kuhn Knight. It was asked if they could get the small trailer to serve cream puffs that day.
Green County Dairy Days kick-off meeting will be held on February 21st at the Bull Ben at 630 PM in Browntown.
The queens reported on their Christmas party and elder care visits. Dairy Days judging is June 21st, crowning will be on June 23rd. Discussed creating a Green County cheese factory map and also donating t-shirts for 4-H exhibitors at the fair. Libby and Rileigh read their radio reports, many have done their dairy promotions and elder care visits.
